AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Jai Maa, Today I was reading Mona da’s book The Supreme; there he mentions about his knee dislocation. The Mother was telling him not to get into these notions that if I do this kind of movement, I will feel pain in the knee. 🧠🩺🌼 […]

She was suggesting to erase all past related to the body in terms of age, diseases, etc. So my question was: how to erase these mental constructions from the body? (for example, if I go out in the Sun, I will have a headache)

Are these mental constructions causing the diseases to prolong their existence?

Yes, these (going out in the sun will cause headache) are mental constructions. There are several others, such as catching cold if one eats curd, and many ideas of this nature. They have neither scientific nor spiritual support. Their strength lies mainly in the power of collective suggestions. Especially with regard to the body, our mind makes many rules, primarily out of fear. These fears then begin to take over and create or precipitate what is feared, further strengthening the wrong conviction. And then there are all kinds of people who believe that they know and keep planting suggestions, thereby complicating things more and more for the body.

The best way is to turn the mind away from oneself. Work and studies or reading something interesting are two of the simplest and best way to come out of this preoccupation with the bodily life. The instinct of self-preservation compounded with fear makes things worse. Offer the fears and worries to The Mother and ask for more faith and light and peace.

Affectionately,

Alok da

All that we will have to do then is to turn towards Him …

Is thought really opposed to action? How to achieve spontaneity in action cos I am struggling with this problem of being decisive and sticking to a plan and rather burden myself with so many permutations and combinations of various scenarios that are gonna play out if I follow a course of action and, in the end, come to doubt the very plan itself. 🧠⚡🧭[…]

The difference between thought and action is a most common difficulty. Its reason is not that the physical mind gets into an obsessive mode. It creates difficulty in decision, an indecisiveness because the mind wants to know with certainty that the decision is correct and the action will bring the desired results.
