AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sahasranama Paath-Archana is the most important part of Tantric practice and is becoming quite popular these days. Can you explain the logic behind it🤨?

People claim all kinds of things but that doesn’t mean they are true. Many such pujas and rituals come into fashion and go, for example there was once a craze of Santoshi Ma. Similarly the worship of Shani dev gained lot of prominence at a point of time and then dwindled off. Such things have nothing deep about it to explain. Of course the Name of God in any form has a great power in it. But to do it for gaining favours through outer rituals generally doesn’t make any great god happy. These rituals generally draw the lesser gods nearer and though sometimes they may give us some transient desires or wishes it is not necessarily good for our soul’s evolution. It keeps us tied to the circle of ignorance. The great gods who can truly grant liberation are pleased much more by our inner state and attitudes than outer rituals or mechanical rituals. They easily see through it all.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
