AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My niece is so confused in choosing her career. How should I help her in providing some solution to her confusionšŸ¤”?

There are two things mainly to be considered. The first is her goal, the aim that she places before herself, not just in terms of few years but a few decades further. How and where she wants to see herself as she grows through the years. Secondly but as importantly, what are the activities and kind of work that come spontaneously to her, what gives her a natural joy. These are the two main things to be considered. To think about other things such as what will happen in the future will only confuse further as there is no certain way of knowing it. What is given to us is to think reasonably and act. The rest is best left to destiny and God.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The talk sounded like you were putting down Marriage as a concept! True, some regions do this horse ride/wasting money, which is in bad taste. However, Marriage as a concept gives the monkey minds a framework. šŸ„øšŸ’šŸ’’[…]

Yes, I agree that for the average human being, these outer frameworks and social institutions do serve a purpose of holding people together. Of course, as I mentioned, marriage or not, love and togetherness can be beautiful and ought to be so. But for that, man needs to evolve beyond the present frameworks, which operate as long as one accepts the limits of dos and don’ts. …
