AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

From the lines of Savitri🕊️: I will pursue thee across the centuries; Thou shalt be hunted through the world by love, Naked of ignorance’ protecting veil And without covert from my radiant gods. Gods are generally considered a benevolent influence. So what does the line ‘without covert from my radiant gods.’ mean?

There are these two masks that prevent us from realising the unity of the Divine and His direct unfettered action in us. The first is the mask of ignorance and the other is luminous mask woven by the gods. But the Divine is beyond ignorance and knowledge,  avidya and vidya. He uses both for fulfilling His purpose. The Divine Consciousness tears away both the masks and those meant to manifest the Divine Love cannot hide behind either the mask of ignorance nor behind a luminous sattwic nature. To be limited to the godlike nature is to miss the supreme Oneness of the Divine Consciousness that shuns nothing, acts and works within and through everything, and uses everything to fulfill Its grand plan.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
