AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

When a period of life is such that darkness prevails and the period of light is very brief, it becomes very difficult to maintain Enthusiasm. Even the chanting of the Mother’s Name feels mechanical… How to overcome this difficult time, when the Mind feels like a dry desert? 😵🏜️

When there is darkness all around, then there is all the more need for Naam Japa and clinging to the Divine.

Inner dryness is generally due to the vital losing interest in life because some desire has been denied or frustrated. But the true seeker of the Divine is happy within and takes it as a Grace that is freeing us forcibly from attachment to false and transient things. One has to grow conscious of the real reason for the dryness, the inner cause of the unhappiness, the desire that is hiding behind the desert. Once conscious he must throw the desire into the flame of aspiration with the Divine Name upon it.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

So, do we look to know Sri Aurobindo and The Mother as the Divine, and unite with Them by offering ourselves to Them integrally? I am curious how you understand this and practice this aim of Life. 😊🙏🏻🪷❤️‍🔥
