AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am in between jobs, and my previous company is not releasing me. They are making emotional moves about others not being able to handle my work. I feel morally indebted to them for giving me a chance to grow personally in this job. I would really like to switch now, what should I do😣?

The idea of being indebted to a company is not quite the right way to go about making decisions. Companies take in an individual not because they want to do a favor but because they trust the person’s ability to bring profits and help the company grow. That this is true is testified by the fact that do not want to release you because it may mean scaling down their profits by their calculation.  They value you because you enhance their value.

Now based on this fact you can make one of the two choices. Either you could ask them for upgrading your work and its value if that is the reason for your switch. Or else you should change if you find better opportunities for further growth.  Work spaces are not meant for emotional engagement but for professional growth.  Work should be done with love but that does not mean letting your emotions and worse still other’s emotions interfere with your decision to transit if such is your need. One should always choose in a state of inner freedom and not let your choices be manipulated by emotions.

There is a place proper to feelings as with close friends and intimate relationships but a company and the employee is not the place for it.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

This is an alternate version which is clearly suspect. The original story is clearly symbolic of the triple forces of Nature, Sattwa, Rajas and Tamas, the three chariots of three asura brothers, notably of gold, silver and iron. The three modes of nature are never aligned. If and when aligned, the Asuras die and the Self is liberated. To do that …

I hear alot that Christian missionaries have a big presence in Andhra Pradesh, India. They are meant to be very rich. What did Sri Aurobindo and Mother say about Christian missionaries and how to manage them?👣🕊️⛪☀️

The Mother and Sri Aurobindo laughed at the stupidity of religous conversions. They saw Religion as a spent force which is destined to be overpassed by the growing spiritual impulse in man. The upsurge of conversions, whatever its temporary success is destined to fail. The evolving human soul cannot be satisfied for long in any …
