AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Nowadays I am seeing this new trend of ‘Bhajan clubbing’ that Gen-Z has been getting into. As a Gen-Z person myself, it’s nice to see others taking some interest in Sanatan Dharma (even if it’s mostly just the outer part for now). However, I’m not sure if combining worship and devotion with something like clubbing is a good idea or an error. I would like to know your thoughts on this and whether this will help out generation to grow or not?πŸͺ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ’ƒπŸŽΆπŸŽ€

Yes, this is an interesting trend, mostly in India. Essentially it implies that God is moving out of fixed formats and entering into the crowded marts and the commonplace lanes of life. Overall it is something good, for the moment it is good. It is the equivalent of the hippie movement in the sixties about which the Mother observed that they are the ‘barbarians of the New World’ who broke the existing systems and opened the doors to new ways of approaching the Divine Reality. Here too the traditional distinctions between the sacred and the profane are being blurred out and a more wide opening to the spiritual life is taking place. It is not without its dangers but a risk that has to be taken by the advancing,  evolving spiritual impulse in man.
