AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How can an introvert on the spiritual path have a fulfilling life when there seems to be no friends around or a partner for whom one wishes to sacrifice? πŸ˜“

Friends and partners do not give meaning or value to life, nor do they help in fulfilling it. Depending upon the type and nature, friends or a partner may add or take away the value and the fulfilment. But the value, meaning and the fulfillment itself comes from the aim, the goal, the ideal one places before oneself.Β

As to sacrifice, it gets its full value only when it is done without considerations of emotional attachments. That kind of sacrifice, for friends and family, is made by everyone. It is only when the sacrifice is made for a high and noble ideal, as an act of love rather than attachment, that it brings the true fulfilment.Β

Find the ideal and goal for yourself and then you will surely find at least a few friends who are aligned with the goal and the path you are walking upon. Even if you don’t, you will still find life meaningful and feel fulfilled.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da
