AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

My father recently departed due to cancer last year. He has faced many problems and difficulties in his life but still he overcame many challenges due to his own positive attitude. We all couldn’t do much for him while he gave us everything to us. I deeply regret that as a child. What can I do for a departed soul , who was my father in this life. Can anything be done for the soul who has suffered so much pain and left other than religious things. I always ponder how his next life will be or is he in good place? Is there any way to know that his soul has not taken a life form again and Dissolved in the divine. A general question too, how is a soul journey decided?🤔 What karmas lead the soul to complete its path and never be born again and get absorbed in the divine?

In this life what a person should do if it doesn’t want a rebirth in next life ? How should one live that his all karmas get dissolved and the soul too?

Suffering is the price we pay for the ignorance that surrounds earthly life. This ignorance keeps us away from the truth of our own being,  our soul and the Divine who dwells within our hearts. Suffering thins out this crust compelling us to seek something greater and truer. That is why suffering comes to all, in different degrees and measures, at some point of time or another.  Suffering is not any punishment due to bad karmas (why would God who is All-love punish anyone). It is a purifying ordeal, sometimes even a blessing as it compels us to get detached from the surface events and turn within to seek the Eternal and the Permanent. The law of karma is an evolutionary mechanism, not a tribunal of judgment. While we should never seek suffering,  yet when it comes we should use it for intensifying our aspiration and inner progress. It is for this,  – evolution and progress towards some higher Divine state or Divine Perfection we now only dream, hope,  or imagine, that the universe and individualities are created. Though subdued by crisis and overcame by grief we may at times wish to quit the game and dissolve in the Eternal Silence,  yet such an effort only gives a lie not only to creation but also to God. It means we have wasted aeons and lives of an evolutionary journey if only to end in vacant Nothingness! On the contrary life seeks for fullness and perfection and Bliss. Grief and suffering are incidents that challenge us but they are neither the beginning nor the end of life’s journey.

Be rest assured that the soul of your father, now freed from bodily suffering is resting peacefully in God’s arms. When he has assimilated the experiences of this life it will return to complete the evolutionary curve. To pray for his soul’s dissolution in nirvana will be the last thing he would wish as there is so much more to experience and grow and do. By now he would have completely forgotten not only all his earthly pleasure and pain but also all his earthly ties completely as it would hinder him from moving forward. So set him free and release yourself from needless guilt and torment. None of us are perfect and none lives life to their utmost due to the inherent and natural limitations of human nature. But we can and must constantly learn and grow. The errors of the past should become stepping stones towards future perfection and not cause for sadness. All pass this way as life is a constant learning process, a journey paved by stones of errors. In any case that is what your father also, if he could still sense want to see in you, – a warrior like him and not a defeatist. Isn’t it? For the rest take Mother’s Name for there is no better way to melt the knots of karma and bandage to ignorance and error and suffering and pain.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Would you please elaborate your answer to a question “Who am I”. Specifically the last 2 lines “Individually you are a portion of the Divine Mother, Her beautiful child whom you will gradually discover and identify with one day. Spiritually you and all of us are the Divine wearing a human form and name.🤨”

It means that we exist at several levels each with its corresponding identity. But the core identity, the permanent truth of our being, is that we are a portion of the Divine,…

You said that destruction was completely avoidable if those involved in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata responded to the Divine Will but it is also said that Divinity of an Avatar will be fully manifested when there is great darkness or adversity at the other side. Without Ravana how the Divinity of Rama would have been fully manifested and also without Kansa or Duryodhana how the Divinity of Krishna would have been fully manifested? There is also the story of Jai – Vijay so is it the leela of the Divine for his complete manifestation or the distortion in creation🤔?

Yes this is the other complimentary truth that the greater the darkness, individually as well as collectively, the greater the possibility of Light. India is a classic example of a civilisation plunged into darkness for …
