AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I get the feeling that my younger brother and his partner aren’t happy about the idea of me going to another country. Whenever I bring it up, their responses don’t seem very enthusiastic; plus, since it’s a business run by my brother and his friend, it sounds like staying there would essentially be like working a regular job. 🧭🛡️[…]

On the other hand, if I go to the mines to another place, the operation would be in my name, and there wouldn’t be much interference from anyone else. The only issue is that the people there tend to drink a lot and generally have a lower level of consciousness, which is why I had initially decided against going there. What do you think I should decide now?

It is important to be independent, financially and otherwise. Lower movements are everywhere. There is no place upon earth where one can completely escape them. One has to learn to inwardly isolate oneself from the atmosphere of the people around so that nothing can affect us. One should learn to live within, surrounded by The Mother’s Presence and the power of Her Name.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I am glad you have the opportunity to serve Her in the center. It is indeed a privilege and a Grace to be able to serve the Divine in anyway and anywhere.

Regarding your question about the sadhaks and their nature or the extent of their realisation, all that I would say is that it is best not to let the mind run in that direction as it is harmful for our progress. First of all we are not equipped to see let alone judge what is happening inside others. All our judgments have little meaning in our…

As I look within me, there is one part which is luminous, wants the Divine and at the same time there is this another dark part which is creating so much trouble. Sometimes thoughts linger on desires and ambition and I consciously pull them back; sometimes past wrong tendencies come up. 🪷🙏🏻 […]

This division is in everybody. It is by sadhana that one becomes one-pointed. It takes long time. Faith, sincerity, aspiration and surrender hastens the process. Depression, guilt, doubts, frustration make the process more complicated and longer….
