His pure presence remained my sole anchor of hope and protection against their crude vital energies, and I would be grateful to understand the deeper symbolic meaning of this experience.

The dream is once again indicative of certain inner movements. The child is your soul and the dense forest is the lower vital regions strongly under the influence of dark subconscious forces. The horse is your life energy, the vital being struggling to rescue the child. Meeting these giants in human forms is again the deceptive forces of the lower vital domains that come disguised as human but carry behind their appearances all that is false and subhuman.

The dream ends very well, auguring a new beginning. The Venus is the guiding light pointing upwards where the force of Love is leading you. The rooftop is climbing to the upper layers of the mind where one finally opens to peace and the new dawn.
