AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

My life aim is to read all the books of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo and sincerely follow the path they have outlined. However, when I share this with my loved ones, they tell me this is not a true aim and accuse me of avoiding my life responsibilities by following this path. They question whether this teaching encourages cutting oneself off from the world. They just don’t understand😥.

I can fully understand that. This is partly because the yoga and the divine possibility they bring is very new and men generally have a tendency to decry what they cannot understand or if something appears too high for them. You cannot convince them or in fact convince anyone. If they are destined to turn and understand, then it will happen on one’s own. Meanwhile it is best not to discuss too much with them or others about your newly developing spiritual life. The less you discuss with the family and friends the better, and I would say, safer it is.
