AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

How does one choose or is chosen by one’s Ishta Devata🙏 and why are we attracted to them more than others? For example, I feel more attracted to Krishna since my childhood but I don’t know the reason behind it.

The attraction towards an Ishta Devata itself is a sign that He is calling you. It depends upon the lines along which the soul has been evolving as well the destiny towards which it is being led. Seekers of beauty, love and joy are drawn towards Sri Krishna whereas seekers of power, force, strength towards Shiva. It also depends upon your past association with the Deity, in previous lives, so to say.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

The upsurge of conversions, whatever its temporary success is destined to fail. The evolving human soul cannot be satisfied for long in any …
