AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Even if there is Maya dragging us away from the Divine, instead of shunning and running away from it, why don’t we face it as A Divine Power by dipping all the Vishayas (Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, Sparsha, Shabda). into The Divine Rasa, and make them Divine, and enjoy them as Divine Prasad with the mind offered to The Divine? ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Β Yes, we should experience it as the Divine experiences these objects. Enjoying them as Divine Prasad, and be ready to leave them if He so wills. If we simply say intellectually that it is Divine Prasad, but are fearful of losing it, then we are only using a spiritual justification for our imperfection. We have to put away all rajasic attachment to worldly things and deal with them first through sattwa. Then later, we go beyond Sattwa and look at them as Divine gifts that we should be ready to leave at any moment. In other words, a firm foundation in equanimity. Then later, we can talk about transmuting the senses and experiencing these objects as the Divine does. Skipping these steps will not help.Β

Including Death as a vehicle carrying us one more step closer to The Divine.

We can take death as a passage, but then it carries only the soul forward towards the Divine, not the nature, not the body. So it doesn’t solve the problem, only postpones it.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
