AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

While reading Savitri (which I read at a very slow pace and loudly, giving each word its own tone according to its meaning and context, and with a rhythm, which I try, it is refining gradually, more by listening to you sing and also the rhythm and style that the Mother used. My family members often ridicule me for singing out loud English poetry. Well, that’s their loss. I don’t care. I am here to please my Soul.), various kinds of experience I often get, in my mind, vital and also in physical.πŸ“–πŸ—£οΈπŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·βœ¨[…]

Sometimes tears flow, sometimes my breath rate changes, sometimes my thoughts, way of thinking change, new ideas come, old ideas get cleared, clarity of thoughts, sometimes passion comes, Courage comes, Joy, Delight, Faith, Love, etc. (in short, a complete package).

But the most interesting effect while reading, I noticed, is goosebumps in the body and shivering of the hands. Previously, before knowing Savitri, my most favourite was Tulsidas’s Manas, which instantly activated the Inner Hearts, but something was missing; it was not a Complete and Integral Experience. Dear Sir, please share your thoughts and comments, or any suggestions.

The effect of reading or listening to Savitri is indeed wonderful. Though the degree and depth of impact depend upon the inner preparation and receptivity of the individual consciousness. It is the mantra of transformation, as the Mother has said and time spent in its atmosphere is time spent in contact with Sri Aurobindo and the Mother with all its attendant consequences.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da
