AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

What is a systematic, measurable approach to training the Willpower by delaying gratification and treating life’s difficulties as challenges, and how does conscious reflection strengthen Inner Mastery?❤️‍🔥😊🙏🏻🌷

On training the Willpower, the Mother says that willpower is trained by using it. I am a very systematic person and would like to take a systematic approach to everything I do.

On training the willpower. The Mother says that willpower is trained by using it. I am a very systematic person and would like to take a systematic approach to everything I do. I try to become Conscious of myself and apply my will whenever possible, but the trouble is that it takes a long time to become Conscious of what needs to be done.

Can you give some general guidelines on how one can take a systematic approach to this training of the will? Something in me has a deep necessity of developing this will; all I need is the right approach, where I can measure the results and see the progress in a tangible form. If you can be very specific, it would be really helpful.

It is desires and impatience that weaken the will, especially the sense of urgency to gratify an impulse.

By not acting impulsively, by postponing or delaying gratification, by cultivating patience, by being deliberate and conscious, weighing it with reflection before choosing to act, especially rather than rushing to act, we strengthen the will.

In any activity, physical, intellectual, emotional, try to push yourself a little more each time.

Take life and its difficulties as challenges to be endured and conquered rather than to be complained and grumbled about.

The effect will be a growing inner mastery and freedom, peace and joy.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
