AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I had not said that the Supramental Yoga of Transformation would create a massive movement or religion, but the Masters or Saints who came before him would create it. ๐Ÿ›•๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿชท[…]

I had read the letters people sent to Sri Aurobindo, in which they kept making the same point that there arenโ€™t enough numbers in the movement and he explains that the quality of consciousness is not indicated by numbers but quite the contrary. Also, I had listened to enough of your talks and knew that the Supermind would not let a religion be formed around it or another โ€œdamned movementโ€ as Sri Aurobindo once called it.

My point was that all that tremendous Shakti being released by the beings before Sri Aurobindo and the Mother would create a powerful religious movement before the Supramental truth emerges. To be precise, before the Law of Truth, the Law of Justice will be established and there will be a religious movement born out of the Power of these Masters that would preside over that manifestation of the Law of Justice.

However, I would like to get the facts correct. Sri Aurobindo did recognize Sri Ramakrishna as an equal Avatar to Christ, in the sense that both were Amsha Avatars or half Avatars. Like Christ, who, along with being the son of God, was also the Son of Man, Sri Ramakrishna also wept like a man in search of the Mother before he realized who he was.

For further evidence, I also remember a letter by Sri Aurobindo to Dilip Kumar Roy, where he was questioning Rama as an unconscious Avatar and how that could be. Sri Aurobindo explains to him about many partial Avatars, in which he mentions Christ, Sri Ramakrishna, and Sri Chaitanya.

Here is the extract โ€“

‘As for the unconscious Avatar, why not? Chaitanya is supposed to be an Avatar by the Vaishnavas2, yet he was conscious of the Godhead behind only when that Godhead came in front and possessed him on rare occasions. Christ said โ€œI and my father are one,โ€ but yet he always spoke and behaved as if there were a difference. Ramakrishnaโ€™s earlier period was that of one seeking God, not aware from the first of his identity. These are the reputed religious Avatars who ought to be more conscious than a man of action like Rama. And supposing the full and permanent consciousness why should the Avatar proclaim himself except on rare occasions to an Arjuna or to a few bhaktas or disciples? It is for others to find out what he is โ€“ though he does not deny when others speak of him as That, he is not always saying and perhaps never may say or only in moments like that of the Gita, โ€œI am He.โ€’

There is also another instance, another letter to Dilip Kumar Roy –

‘It was not my intention to question in any degree Chaitanyaโ€™s position as an Avatar of Krishna and the Divine Love. That character of the manifestation appears very clearly from all the accounts about him and even, if what is related about the appearance of Krishna in him from time to time is accepted, these outbursts of the splendour of the Divine Being are among the most remarkable in the story of the Avatar. As for Sri Ramakrishna, the manifestation in him was not so intense but more many-sided and fortunately there can be no doubt about the authenticity of the details of his talk and action since they have been recorded from day to day by so competent an observer as Mahendranath Gupta. I would not care to enter into any comparison as between these two great spiritual personalities: both exercised an extraordinary influence and did something supreme in their own sphere.’

Sri Ramakrishna also confessed, after being pressed by Swami Vivekananda, here is the exact statement: โ€œHe who was Rama and Krishna is now, in this body, Ramakrishna โ€“ but not in your Vedantic sense.”

So he confesses to be an Avatar and not just the Advaita way of I am god but specifically mentions he is God in not your Advaita fashion but the Ishwara himself.

So, from these statements, it is indeed true that Sri Ramakrishna was an Avatar, not as fully as the Dasha Avataras of the Supreme, but on the same level as partial Avatars like Christ and Sri Chaitanya.

So, with that sorted, we can indeed see that Maa Sarada Devi was the Avatar of Mahasaraswati as Sri Ramakrishna claimed. And I donโ€™t see any reason to take that as a statement given in a sort of respect or devotion, but as a hard, rational, factual statement because the Shakti of an Avatar can only be an Avatar herself.

Now, with this context established, we can move on to my previous point: how could a tremendous movement or religion not be born out of such immense Shakti be released?

Not just Sri Ramakrishna and Maa Sharada, who are now established as Avatars, but also Vivekananda, who was a Vibhuti of Rudra, and countless enlightened and also fully liberated saints, were born in the previous century. Such immense power is surely to erupt like a Volcano, because if an Avatar is born, it is sure that he would have a massive impact on consciousness. All these are similar to having an influence on the founders of the major religions.

Regarding the few giants and the rest being ordinary people, I say that even at the time of Christ, the average Jew and many of the Gentiles were quite indifferent or even hostile to his teachings, but what happened later was that there were mass conversions to the ideas of Christ. So similarly, with this many overmental beings being released in India, their powers and guidance alone would create a powerful movement, and this movement would preside over the establishment of the Law of Justice.

I have received a few signs that this would happen, and it seems that this movement would be led by a powerful Shakta and Tantra-focused individuals as well as many devout Hindus who have the Kshatra Tej and the Brahma Tej.

These would be the ones who would break the back of the so-called โ€œModern worldโ€ and the post-modern world and re-establish the honour of the wisdom and religion of the old.

But when their job will be done, they would be quite resistant to the emergence of the Supramental truth and its emergence. The law of Justice would resist the establishment of the Law of Truth; it wonโ€™t be quite as smooth a transition as we would like to imagine.

Now, how would such a transition take place? The hint comes from Sri Aurobindoโ€™s statement about the Woman.

I am paraphrasing, but it was along the lines of -It would be the Woman who would be the link between this World and the New world. So I hypothesize that the women who would be the part of this new powerful and triumphant religious movement would be psychically sensitive and would realize the truth in Sri Aurobindoโ€™s teachings and they would be open to it more than the men who would be quite adamant about not changing.

But since these Shaktas worship all women as the Goddess, they too would be forced to see the truth in the Yoga of Transformation.

It might be that I am just imagining things and this is just blind speculation, but I have received certain specific signs multiple times and many synchronicities reaffirming that, yes indeed, this is what is about to happen.

Anyways, it is fun to think and share thoughts about such things, even if it’s not correct!

There is no doubt some truth in what you have felt, leaving aside the external expression of it.

People could not hold the tremendous power released by the advent of the great ones like Sri Ramkrishna and Swami Vivekananda because of a want of strength in nature. A certain capacity is needed after all to receive what is being given. It is this that is being prepared now. It is for this reason that the Mother initiated an elaborate program of physical education. That is why Sri Aurobindo reminds us in a letter to Motilal Roy.

‘You must understand that my mission is not to create maths, ascetics and Sannyasis; but to call back the souls of the strong to the Lila of Krishna & Kali. That is my teaching, as you can see from the Review, and my name must never be connected with monastic forms or the monastic ideal. Every ascetic movement since the time of Buddha has left India weaker and for a very obvious reason. Renunciation of life is one thing, to make life itself, national, individual, world-life greater & more divine is another. You cannot enforce one ideal on the country without weakening the other. You cannot take away the best souls from life & yet leave life stronger & greater. Renunciation of ego, acceptance of God in life is the Yoga I teach,โ€”no other renunciation.’
