According to the Isha Upanishad, self-slayers go to the dark world and remain there for an unlimited period of time. Sri Aurobindo has also condemned suicide in Letters on Yoga. What will be the fate of those who pray to the Divine and desire shortening of their days upon earth by not taking treatment for their diseases? Is it equivalent to self-slaying and do the persons to suffer after their departure? ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Refusing to take treatment is fine but if it is done with a will to die, with a defeatist attitude, to cut short the thread of life to escape from the challenges are all different ways of doing the same thing. In psychological language, this behavior is called as chronic suicide. Basically, it is trying to escape violently from the evolutionary process that will not release by an escape from one life. Whatever difficulty we try to escape from returns back to us in another form, in another life, under more difficult circumstances.ย
