AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alok da, can we say that Draupadi is also an example of Complete Surrender? She surrendered herself completely and just recited “Govind” during Vastraharan. ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฆš๐Ÿชˆ๐Ÿƒ

Complete surrender is exemplified only in Radha. Draupadi was herself a vibhuti of Goddess Kali and great in her own right. But the surrender during Vastraharan was done only when all her options had been exhausted. She prayed like an arta bhakta (caught in a crisis) and the response came as it does when someone calls the Divine in utter desperation. But such a surrender does not usually last after the crisis is over. Her state during the disrobing episode is more like a prayer surging from the inmost heart of a devotee in distress rather than an example of surrender.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Sri Aurobindo describes the four great aspects of the Divine Mother โ€” Maheshwari, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. How should a sadhak in Integral Yoga relate to these four aspects in daily life? ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿชท๐Ÿ€[…]

The four aspects of the Divine Mother have been described by Sri Aurobindo to make it little easier for us to comprehend something of the ways of The Mother’s working. They are aspects of the One Divine Mother. It helps us to know how The Mother would want us to be by inculcating the qualities and ways of being of these four ..
