AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

As much as I can see within myself, I have two fears. Firstly, related to family: before coming to this path of yoga, I was at a Guru’s ashram for two months. When I went there, my mom cried a lot and everyone was very sad. Since then, a fear has settled inside me, and I can’t gather the courage. πŸ˜₯[…]

Secondly, what I see within myself is that I don’t have a single rupee, nor do I have any work. Whatever I had is now lost in business and the stock market. In this situation, I don’t know what’s in my hands to move forward. Isn’t everything done by God? If He wants my life to be in His service, won’t He arrange the means?

Take this ordeal as a preparation. Your aspiration is sincere but nature is not yet ready. Therefore the struggle is acute. Try to find some work to sustain the family and do it as karmayoga. Perhaps the Divine does not want you to withdraw from the life in the world. He knows best. Surrender to Him and do the yoga in the world.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Da, I’m a single child. I always have this question: why don’t I have a sibling with whom I can share things? Also, my parents have a greater realisation of the Divine, so whenever I try something out of spirituality or try to get mixed with society, they get to know things from within and always doubt my intentions and try to keep me under their influence. πŸ˜’πŸŒΈπŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ‘§πŸ»β€πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸƒ[…]

I want to know if The Mother refers to Sri Aurobindo as ‘Lord’? And so, when They say, the aim of life is to know the Divine and unite with It, do they mean to know the Lord and unite with Him? So, do we look to know Sri Aurobindo and The Mother as the Divine, and unite with Them by offering ourselves to Them integrally? I am curious how you understand this and practice this aim of Life. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯
