So, Dada, how can every breath, every heartbeat, every thought, every emotion, and every sensation of mine become service to Mother? Because now I feel I cannot live without serving Mother; I cannot even imagine my life without it. How can my entire life and all my actions become service to Mother? After leaving this place, how should I maintain discipline—both outwardly and inwardly—to become a worthy instrument for Mother, one through whom only Her highest will is fulfilled?
The challenge is that when I meet people, conversations often drift into banter or topics that shouldn’t take place; yet, when socializing closely, it is difficult to remain silent. In the villages, such conversations often descend to an even cruder level. Where can I find the strength to reject all of this and ensure I do nothing that goes against Mother’s work
It is not easy to engage into a deeper sadhana while in the family and surrounded by all kinds of people. The first thing is self-discipline. So make a routine for yourself and stick to it. Keep some time for meditation and reading every day. Call Her Name inwardly as often as you can and offer all your inner and outer movements to Her.
Visit the Delhi Ashram from time to time and spend some time there engaging in sewa.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
