AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am writing to you with deep humility and surrender to share a few intense experiences that have been happening in my sadhana, especially in the physical body. I feel guided to bring these to the notice of someone deeply connected with Sri Aurobindo’s work. 🪷✨ […]

Main experiences:

– A cool liquid force has been descending from the crown through the spine, vertebra by vertebra, going down to the Muladhara and even below.

– There is a clear ascending movement from below as well, with bubbling sensations in different parts of the body.

– The body is experiencing Light eating (everything appearing as light — breath, food, people, nature).

– In meditation, I saw Sri Aurobindo in white clothes, dark and thin, near the Muladhara chakra, which brought intense peace.

– I also had a vision of a dark, old female form resembling Dhumravati (goddess of death) near the Muladhara, wearing white clothes.

– There is a strong feeling that the work is touching the “roots of death” in the physical and subconscient.

I understand that these are part of the physical transformation and that I am only in an early or intermediate stage. I do not want to make any claims, but I feel the need to offer these experiences at the feet of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo through you. If you have time and feel guided, I would be deeply grateful for any guidance or clarification. With sincere gratitude and surrender to The Divine Mother,

The experiences you describe are quite classical of the kundalini awakening as a result of the Mother’s Force touching the crown and descending from above to the Mooladhar. Generally this inner opening is accompanied with some subjective and objective changes as the different centres open and the consciousness expands and the various centres yield their respective powers.

Yes, it is always good to remain full of gratitude and surrendered and receive all this and much more to come with humility and as gifts of Grace.

Keep offering it all to The Mother so that She may use it for Her higher Divine Purposes.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Is it true that the ashram school employs secular teachers from outside, as there is a dearth of disciples and ex-students contributing to teaching in the school? If disciples from outside are being employed, it is well and good. 🎓📚[…]

There is no truth in the Ashram hiring any teacher, secular or otherwise. No student is charged and no teacher is paid. Most of the teachers however are ex-students who are living around. Some have returned after staying for a while in the world outside and naturally carry the influence of the environment and the life they have lived. Very …
