AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I have held these experiences close out of fear they might be mere mental illusions, but they have now become constant: spontaneously seeing the Mother’s feet or form before me, her symbol glowing during prayer, and a deep orange sun against the sky.🪷✨🙏🏻[…]

In dreams, calling the Mother’s name or encountering a brilliant white light immediately grants protection and healing, while in night meditation I have seen myself enclosed in a cocoon of soft white light. These visual and inner occurrences feel distinct from ordinary mental images yet different from physical sight. Could you please guide me on how to understand these spiritual experiences and whether they represent true inner realities?

These are all genuine experiences that indicate a deep inner link with the Divine Mother, especially Her Knowledge or Maheshwari aspect. The cocoon of white Light is a safety against any and every danger. In fact, whenever you have little time, and especially in the face of danger you can imagine this cocoon and all will be safe.

It is a clear sign that the Divine Mother is not only with you and watching over your progress but has taken charge of your life.

Beautiful Grace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, You get many questions over here regarding dreams. I am always bit perplexed on the question whether one should even bother with them and be conscious of them and note them down or utterly not bother and be ignorant of them? What’s their place in practice of this yoga? I remember reading a little bit of the western psychological theory about dreams activating those contents which we were avoiding and should be doing consciously in our wakeful life, for example there was this case of a woman who was continuously dreaming of a woman who was a living a wandering adventurous life but she in her actual life was living a life of infantile dependence on her parents and not having the adventurous courage of launching herself into the uncertain challenges of life. How true is this observation?

Dreams are a large chunk of our life given the time we spend in dreaming. Hence a study of dreams, and eventually becoming conscious of them and mastering them is surely something gained and won back from the realms of the unconscious…
