AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I have noticed that this year has been particularly difficult. Many people I know have been going through tough times. I, too, have been going through many ups and downs this year. There are many obstacles. 😫🦋🌻[…]

Even after putting a lot of effort, the results are sometimes negative or very small. I know that there are difficulties every year, but I feel that this year it is more so. What could be the reason behind this?

The difficult period or challenging times began around 2018 and will continue till 2030 as part of the preparation for the New Creation. It has been intensifying more and more since 2020, each year, a little bit upscaled in some way or another. It is not unique to you, but yes, the intensification is felt more by some and at certain periods of time. But it is with everyone.

The reason is that it is the Hour of God, an evolution fast forward. It is disorienting and disconcerting for the moment, but it will end up purifying us of all that is insincere, removing the dead points of resistance and opening us more and more to the Truth that is working dynamically upon earth to reshape it. Here is what Sri Aurobindo and the Mother wrote about the century that lay before them. 2025 is only a brief scene of the picture that started more than a hundred years ago.

Mother,

In 1919 Sri Aurobindo wrote that the chaos and the calamities were perhaps the pangs of the birth of a new creation. How long are these pangs going to continue—in the Ashram, in India and eventually in the world?

It will continue until the world is ready and willing to receive the new creation; the consciousness of this new creation is already at work upon earth since the beginning of this year.

If, instead of resisting, the people were collaborating, it would go quicker.

But stupidity and ignorance are very obstinate.

Love and blessings.

Sweet Mother,

In “The Hour of God” Sri Aurobindo has written: “There are moments when the Spirit moves among men and the breath of the Lord is abroad upon the waters of our being; there are others when it retires and men are left to act in the strength or the weakness of their own egoism”1 and in one of your letters, you have said that one must not rely on one’s ego but on the psychic. Mother, will you explain this to me?

It so happens that we are not in an age when men have been left to their own means. The Divine has sent down His Consciousness to give them light. All who are able to do so should profit by it.

Blessings.

Dada, I asked you a few days ago that my every friend is being removed from my life, not that we are fighting or something, but they either get married or they shift to other place. You replied that Mother is preparing me for a big change and new friends with same aspiration will come to me. But Dada, when? 🌱🕊️ […]

Actually you have yourself answered it. There is something in you that seeks the Divine but there are parts of nature that refuse. The ‘loneliness’ has been provided so that you can make a conscious choice. The dryness of which you speak is only a passage but …

After coming to the center, Mother is fulfilling all of my aspirations like to be a part of the sadhaks, getting chance to clean the place near Samadhi, plucking flower for Mother etc. But my dipper and at present most aspired thing is to Live In her Presence. 🙏🏻🌼 […]

I am glad you have the opportunity to serve Her in the center. It is indeed a privilege and a Grace to be able to serve the Divine in anyway and anywhere.

Regarding your question about the sadhaks and their nature or the extent of their realisation, all that I would say is that it is best not to let the mind run in that direction as it is harmful for our progress. First of all we are not equipped to see let alone judge what is happening inside others. All our judgments have little meaning in our…

As I look within me, there is one part which is luminous, wants the Divine and at the same time there is this another dark part which is creating so much trouble. Sometimes thoughts linger on desires and ambition and I consciously pull them back; sometimes past wrong tendencies come up. 🪷🙏🏻 […]

This division is in everybody. It is by sadhana that one becomes one-pointed. It takes long time. Faith, sincerity, aspiration and surrender hastens the process. Depression, guilt, doubts, frustration make the process more complicated and longer….
