AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I have noticed that when I chant ‘Mother Mother Mother Mother’, a form of anxiety arises in me, like a great tension and a more serious Divine Force. But when I chant ‘Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa’, I feel calmer and more centred. Is this something similar to what is described in the Bhagavad Gita in chapter 11, when Arjuna sees Sri Krishna in the Supreme Universal Form, vs Sri Krishna normally seen by Arjuna in a friendly, loving manner.🫨🌀😰🌹

Each one has a personal way of connecting. But Maa is certainly better, easier, even phonetically simpler. Mother reminds one of someone or something superior with which the heart does not feel immediately intimate.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Namastey Alok Da, I was reading some predictions related to Pakistan and China by Mother and Sri Aurobindo on the website, Was the Mother referring to a future event that is yet to manifest, or was this vision specific to that time period and did not occur due to divine intervention or a change in the working of forces? Is there any future possibility where China might invade India?🪷🐘🌍🏮

She was referring to a possibility, a possibility that was strong at that moment as well remains a risk for the future. Sri Aurobindo also said that they are very restless and saw the threat of Red China invading India through Tibet. As long as the Communist party …

It is most likely the result of home-sickness arising out of loneliness. Certain circumstances and situations are typically associated in the mind with home or the place where one grew up. They remind us of the fact of being …

I have recently started my residency in MS opthalmology. My schedule runs from 7am to 11pm with two 36 hours shifts each week. Throughout the day I am constantly surrounded by seniors and immersed in work and we are not allowed to leave the wards during working hours. I get no time for meditation or reading books of Maa and Sri Aurobindo or even some time to sit in silence. How to do this Sadhana through work when hospital feels like a jail and certain seniors like jailors?🧘🕯️📿📖

I completely understand having gone through it in my own way. What you should do is to first change the motive of your studies. Take this attitude that you are getting trained in the field of Opthalmology to be a good …
