It means that our real identity is the child of the Divine Mother. But it is hidden and covered by ignorance of earth-nature. It is like a diamond covered by heaps of coal. Or like a prince who is brought up by wolves who adopts their ways. Our task is to discover that true identity. By finding the soul we realize this truth.
