If we have a problem, should we solve it on our own or depend on the Grace? Will it become tamasic surrender if we depend on the Grace? πŸ™„

One must do both. Why either or? By making personal effort, one is better prepared to receive the Grace. Ultimately, of course, it is always the Grace that acts, but if we make no effort, then we do not progress. Of course, by effort is meant the right kind of effort. For there is indeed a wrong effort based on a wrong understanding of things, which only complicates the action of Grace. For example, taking medicine is an effort. One takes the medicine and relies upon the Grace and recovers very fast. But if one takes the wrong medicine, the Grace has to take additional care of the side effects, so to speak.Β Β
