AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I’m not a Spiritual person, How to get inner peace? How to be calm? Can’t concentrate on studies don’t have job. Always attract problem every single day🧘‍♂️✨🌊🌸

It is not a question of being ‘spiritual’ or not. Spiritual simply means that there is within us, in our own inner depths, as well as above our minds, states of consciousness full of Wideness, Peace, Joy, Harmony, Beauty and Light. The question is whether we want to explore them or live within the limited human formula and its narrow possibilities. Because peace is difficult to find in this world that is ever changing, ever restless, ever fleeting unless one turns towards the Divine who alone can grant to us the sense of perfect security, peace and joy.

However there are still few things one can do to get peace.

Spend some time everyday in quiet solitude. Even a little corner of your room will do. During those quiet moment’s seek the purpose of your life, that which deeply moves you.

During these moments think of what you would want your life to be rather than what it presently is or has been.

Recite the word OM inwardly as and when you feel restless.

Do physical exercises everyday and stay busy reading or learning something.

Let me know how you are feeling after a month.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Hairs and Nails represent the inconscient atavistic elements in humans. They have an evolutionary necessity in animals but in human beings they are simply an extension of the animal body type. That is why there is in it a very strong genetic hereditary element. There were a number of very close disciples of Sri Aurobindo namely ..

But doesn’t marriage keep people stable also – or would they drown themselves in alcohol and drugs, as in the West, due to loneliness? Free intimacy is also a hindrance, right? At least it fixes your emotional, physical, and financial needs. To explore higher areas of life… or wouldn’t everyone just live like animals? Osho’s ways were effective in giving an alternative to marriage? 🏡🌿

Marraige is like a double edged sword. If the partner is right it can help create stability. If the partner is not the right one it can lead to chronic unhappiness, conflicts and instability. This is especially true of our times when the real stabilising factor, the family, is broken.

In the First Rik of the Rig Veda, Sri Aurobindo describes the nature of the Supreme as Sat-Chit-Ananda across different states of being. While explaining Nirguna and Saguna Sat, he uses phrases like “they nivṛtta, He nivṛtta” and “they pravṛtta, He nivṛtta”, which I find difficult to grasp. ☀️🕉️[…]

The Lord is both pravritti and nivratti, as the Fire and the Sun are both pravritti and nivratti. As Light they simply stand back and illumine the field but as energy they impel all things into dynamic movement. So too, the Divine as knowledge illumines all things with His Intelligence even without entering into them. But as power, Shakti, He
