AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Is it safe to practice Astrology and Palmistry as a side hustle for a student who has faith in the Mother but lacks a specific Ishta Devata, given concerns about involuntarily taking on others’ karma or attracting negative celestial influences?🪐🫴🏼✨[…]

I have a keen interest in Astrology and Palmistry. I’ve been reading about it passively for the last two years. Now I am considering practicing it as a side hustle, as I’m a student and my goal is not to pursue a Career in Astrology. It’s just a topic in which I’m interested.

According to many astrologers, it’s not appropriate to practice Astrology without a specific Ishta Devata, as by doing so, the astrologer may invade others’ Karma, which can affect them. I have faith in the Mother, and I only like to pray to Her. Is it okay to practice Astrology?

I don’t see how one takes upon oneself the karma of others by the practice of astrology and palmistry. Palmistry is certainly harmless. The only thing about Astrology is that too much dwelling upon these celestial beings may unwittingly build strong formations that could attract these influences. But this is rather far-fetched and there is no reason why one should not pursue this Science if one is naturally drawn towards it and has the temperament.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
