AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

My dealing assistant’s brother-in-law has been very ill for 3 weeks. He is suffering from kidney cancer and a blockage in the arteries. He is nearly 45 years old and has 2 daughters (ages 16 and 14). 🙏🏻🕊️[…]

Previously doctors said that they would operate and his health will become better but his health is deteriorating day by day and now according to doctors he is so critical that doctors say that he can die on death bed. Can we help him in any way? Can prayer save him?

Oh, I see. It is indeed a difficult time for him and his family. Yes, one must pray. Whether prayer will save him or not cannot be said, as there are many complex factors determining the destiny. Besides, praying for him and he himself praying are two different things. Nevertheless, one must pray even if the inevitable happens. Prayers provide a buffer zone, even a kind of protection, an easing out and blunting of the suffering and a silent inner support to all who are attached and connected. It helps to bear the burden of the ‘inevitable’ and makes certain painful inevitable transitions smoother.

Adding my prayers for the person working with you.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Certainly the Hindus knew the various means of purifying the mind and intelligence and, during the heydays of ancient India, the Vedic period and even much later, they did turn it both inwards and outwards. That is how they discovered such wonderful things which included plastic surgery, an elaborate pharmacopeia, warcraft and deadly weapons, principles of politics and administration, rules of mathematics and chemistry, linguistics and …

Sir, is whatever happens with us is always for our best? 🙏🏻🌼

The Mother has given a very beautiful and complete answer to this.

‘Is it really the best that always happens?… It is clear that all that has happened had to happen: it could not be otherwise—by the universal determinism it had to happen. But we can say so only after it has happened, not before. For the problem of the very best that can happen is an individual problem, whether the individual be a nation or a single human being; and all depends upon the personal attitude. If, in the presence of circumstances…
