AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Please help me to understand the doors through which ego and desire seize us and how to free ourselves from the bondage of ego and desire while staying away from Sri Aurobindo Ashram. How should we aspire to get samadhi darshan as early as possible? 🪷🕊️

The doors are within us. It is upto us to keep them open or closed. In the body, these are the senses. In the mind, these are lust, ambition, greed and fear mainly. Peace, Equanimity, shuts the doors, while anger, agitation opens them. Faith, Aspiration and Sincerity open the true doors within us, the inner Ashram, which is more important than living physically in the Ashram.

Affectionately

Alok Da, this is too radical for me. Please ground this for me. I am not challenging you in any way. I want to see the writings of Mother/Sri Aurobindo where they say that “option 2” or “getting his hands dirty” is how the Divine works. 📖🪷

There are no such exact answers to exact questions like options one or two. In fact I could equally say none of the above or both of the above. Neither life nor yoga can be approached by a rigid mind that wants to hear what it has already sort of decided. Yoga is not done with mental ideas or a vital will. The first thing is to open psychically ..
