AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Right now, the world seems to be engaged in a terrible and depressing Yajna, with modernism and materialistic science as its priest, trying to conquer the world and death through Artificial Intelligence and genetically modifying babies and many more ignorant means and measures. 🌎πŸ”₯πŸ”±πŸ¦β€πŸ”₯[…]

But it has not called the Supramental Shiva in its sacrifice. It listens only to its greed for control and whatever it regards as its self-interest, and will not hesitate to commit vile acts and lie numerous times to get it. Now this variety of humanity’s Yajna will be destroyed and it will be beheaded. But at the plea of the rest of humanity and the compassion of the Divine, it will be given an animal’s head and will fall to live a life of animal existence. It seems a repeat of Daksha’s Yajna, but now Daksha is not just one guy but an entire strand of the population. What do you think?

Yes, your intuitive insight is quite correct about much of the present humanity. The Mother and Sri Aurobindo herself cautioned about this in several places. Here is one of them from the Mother’s conversations of 06th June 1958.

‘Its action will be somewhat similar to what is described in the Last Judgment, which is an entirely symbolic expression of something that makes us discern between what belongs to the world of falsehood which is destined to disappear and what belongs to this same world of ignorance and inertia but is transformable. One will go to one side and the other to the other side. All that is transformable will be permeated more and more with this new substance and this new consciousness to such an extent that it will rise towards it and serve as a link between the two but all that belongs incorrigibly to falsehood and ignorance will disappear. This was also prophesied in the Gita: among what we call the hostile or anti-divine forces, those capable of being transformed will be uplifted and go off towards the new consciousness, whereas all that is irrevocably in darkness or belongs to an evil will shall be destroyed and vanish from the Universe. And a whole part of humanity that has responded to these forces rather too … zealously will certainly vanish with them.’

But then the Supramental Shiva is full of a Supramental Compassion and the Divine Mother full of a Supramental Love, hence the long rope given to man.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
