AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sir, previously, I was in traditional yoga. I used to do Naam jap with mala ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama’ Mantra. I used to follow one of the Maharaj ji, still I watch him sometimes through Reels, and I feel good. 😊🙏🏻🪷🌻[…]

I think His satsang regarding the need for improvement, we have this issue and that issue, has inspired me to change myself. Whenever I used to have bad thoughts or anything, I used to feel stressed because I used to feel bad. So due to that fear, with Maharaj ji’s satsang with Naam jap I think for a few months I could control myself from that. I used to feel very good.

But a few months back, I got to know about integral yoga when I read pdf. Before that, my friend used to explain about it, about Maa and Lord and I used to know little about Integral Yoga. But now again I am thinking of doing Naam Japa. I guess, or I think, it has helped me a lot to control my lust, which was problematic for me, as it used to give me a lot of stress. This time I am thinking to do japa of Mother’s name (MAA) with the same mala I used to chant ‘Hare Krishna Mantra’.

I think this will help me a lot in eradicating the problem of lust or any problem in sincerity in doing any work. Still, I am confused when reading, writing related to Mother and Lord, I got to know that this doesn’t bring much benefit to us. But I think it will help me. So let me know, sir, is it okay to do this? With that, what else can I do? Due to this kind of problem, like sincerity or lust, which I am having in the current moment, a lot is making me feel bad, so due to that, I felt like doing Naam Japa with a mala. Because I remembered the day that I thought it had helped me. So I thought to follow this. Please let me know, Sir.

God’s Name has indeed a great power. Any Name, any Form with which you associate the Divine is good, but certain names, such as of Sri Krishna is certainly special. In this Yoga, one can take up the Japa of Sri Aurobindo and/or the Mother’s Name. One can simply call Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa Maa in the heart, contemplating Her form or even otherwise. You will feel the Power and the Grace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I’m talking of Evil and Occult, Alok da… I’m coming to realise there is so much more than meets the eye in Spirituality – black magic, spells, etc. In that sense, not sattvic. There is, as you rightly mentioned before, much more pretense in spiritual spheres. 👥👹🍂🍂[…]

A distinction needs to be made here between the occult and the spiritual. The occult belongs to the hidden dimensions of our being, the complex network of forces between the physical world as we experience it and the vital and mental worlds that stand behind, ..

Sri Aurobindo describes the four great aspects of the Divine Mother — Maheshwari, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. How should a sadhak in Integral Yoga relate to these four aspects in daily life? 😊🙏🏻🪷🍀[…]

The four aspects of the Divine Mother have been described by Sri Aurobindo to make it little easier for us to comprehend something of the ways of The Mother’s working. They are aspects of the One Divine Mother. It helps us to know how The Mother would want us to be by inculcating the qualities and ways of being of these four ..
