AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Some people lack enthusiasm in life and constantly say no to anything that might bring them joy like going out, enjoying a meal, or watching a movie. While I agree that such activities may not offer deeper or lasting happiness, they also show no interest in exploring higher or more meaningful experiences. Instead, they often sulk, complain, criticize others, and remain unhappy with everything in their lives😥.

Yes this is a kind of shrinking from life, a kind of tamas (inertia) and fear of getting out of comfort zones. As a result they stagnate and the energies, for want of circulation begin to sulk and get depressed. Criticising and complaining is a way of giving comfort to oneself and justifying the narrow approach to life.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
