AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sri Aurobindo was critical of Subhas Bose for his support of Axis powers, but he was handed over this responsibility by Rash Behari Bose, towards whom, Sri Aurobindo seemed to have shown appreciation. Why is that🤔?

I am not sure if Ras Behari Bose asked or adviced Subhas Bose to shake hands with Hitler (he literally did so) and was calling in the Japanese to throw away the British. If he did then Sri Aurobindo would not hesitate calling his grave error. For Sri Aurobindo Truth of things mattered more than personal appreciation. At the same time it must be understood that there was nothing against either Subhash Chandra Bose or Gandhi. It was against certain policies that he saw were dangerous. It was never something personal except that your personality pushes you to take certain course of action.

Affectioantely,

Alok Da

What was Mother’s view of classical music? I mean, were there composers that she believed could really be uplifting spiritually? I am interested, as it was around the turn of the 20th  century, in her young age and youth, that a coarser movement in music came to evolve. 🎶🎼😊🙏🏻🪷[…]
