AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sri Aurobindo was focused on India at first until he found out that the war in Europe was threatening His yoga for the world and ultimately the yogic path could be blocked for all of mankind for a thousand years. How about now? Cripps proposal is a bad example of how audacious humans can be in opposing the will of the Divine. Is it true that the Divine chose to work from entirely behind the scenes so that humans may no longer commit gross and horrendous sins of going against His uttered words and suggestions? But for how long would it be necessary? Ultimately manifesting His truth in a body is something that has to happen. Why are we denied the opportunity of the physical darshan until the world is ready 🙁

I can fully understand your intense feelings and aspiration. To this we must add the faith that since this aspiration is born in us, it is destined to be fulfilled one day. The Mother especially emphasised on two things, – endurance and faith. Along with it the certitude of victory must always be there as a flag before us.

As to the future, there is however one difference between then and now. It is this that the Supramental Manifestation has begun and the charge of the world is no more in the hands of man, the mental being. Whatever is happening now and will happen in the future is meant to only hasten the inevitable Divine future for earth and the receptive section of humanity. We have to only hold on and hold out, – hold on to Her with the chord of faith and hold out with courage until the complete victory.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
