AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

There are some desires in us that are too strong. Even if we try and surrender those, something in us still clings to those desires and makes us anxious about them. Some part in us also has the knowledge that even if this desire is fulfilled, it will be transient and has no future, but the part that clings to the desire feels something like “Even if it gives me happiness for 1 second, I want it”😬[conti]

So basically what I want to ask is that some part has the knowledge that whatever we are doing, thinking, or feeling is not right, but some other part always wants to cling to it. How can we get rid of such a strong kind of desire? (I am sorry for the jumbled explanation.)

It is true for all of us. Almost all go through this process and the Divine Mother carries each through this treacherous terrain and sometimes perilous passage, each in Her own way. But if we persist in our resolve, return back with an increased aspiration after every fall, then slowly the desire becomes weaker and weaker until one day only a ghost shadow remains waiting to dissolve completely.  One has to endure with faith and persevere until the victory comes, as it comes to all who refuse to give up the hope and the aspiration despite repeated failures.

Affectionately

Alok da

It is not Darwinism but copy-catism if one wants to coin a word. The reason however is twofold. Partly it is due to the strong awakening of Rajas in a society that was, for a rather long time oppressed, supressed and made to feel low, in one word tamas. This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
