AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

There’s constant thirst for reading  all kinds of spiritual books. Anything right from SriAurobindo, Bhagavadam, Ramayanam to Bible, etc. Though I want to stick on only to the practice of  spirituality as instructed and initiated by my Guru, I am  forcefully pulled up by different books. Even to, Savitri, I can’t stick on. How to come out of this great attraction for  unnecessary reading? Or is it helpful to me in my search after Truth? Till now no benefit, I found except some happy time pass📜✨📖🕉️

It is not time pass. Rather it indicates a thirst for knowledge which is a good thing. Of course it can be confusing sometimes if one wants to practise. But there are always certain common elements in spiritual practice too helpful to every participant on whatever path one is following. In any case what matters in the end is the core aspiration and books such as the Ramayana, Bhagawatham, the Gita and of course Savitri very much feed the psychic fire and enrich and strengthen the psychic life. So it is perfectly fine and I don’t see how they will come in the way of your following the path you have chosen.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
