Lie is never a good thing, least of all as a basis to start a marriage. Marriage especially is based upon trust and a lie is just the wrong way to start it. What will be its repurcussions upon the individual is however more difficult to say beyond the fact that a broken trust between partners living together is bad enough and worse still is the net of fear and falsehood that begins to entrap us in a web of deception.
