Seeker: What is there in this mantra? And how is this process and yoga technique different from others?
Gurudev: Krishna was the ninth incarnation, and I am the tenth. I am the Kalki incarnation. Meditation is possible with my picture. Meditation is not possible with the pictures of Ram and Krishna.

Maharishi Arvind has described in his book that a person should not have a plan but a goal; the paths are created automatically.
Gurudev: Absolutely. That book explains my incarnation, and every word written in it is absolutely correct and was written for me. I am the Kalki incarnation.
And Dada, I have met many seekers who have been cured of AIDS, cancer, and many other incurable diseases, and I have also met seekers who have had spiritual experiences.
So, can a spiritual guru also have the illusion of being divine?
I am in such a state, as if I have nothing left except hope. Now I am neither of Gurudev’s yoga nor of Mother’s yoga. Or, Dada, please pray to Mother for me and open the way forward for me. If Shri Maa’s path is truly my path, then please pray to her to end all the pain within me and call me to you. My mind is very restless, sometimes going here and sometimes there, as if my devotion and faith have no basis.
I can fully understand. As for bhram (delusion due to Maya) can afflict anyone. Even the gods of the Overmind and demigod such as Narad and Shukadeva, yogis all have gone through states of delusion. Sri Aurobindo himself speaks of a time when he too mistook the Overmind for the true thing. As to Kalki you will find quite a few claimants including a Christian and another Muslim (Ahmadiya) saints who are founders of their own cult. As to saints carrying on the legacy of Sri Aurobindo, here too there are quite a few. Interestingly, Sri Aurobindo himself never said directly that he is an Avatar. He admitted it indirectly only when a young disciple questioned him. As to cure from diseases there are many more claimants right from the days of Jesus to our own times. There is no need to deny or accept these claims of the Yogi and their followers. What is important is to become conscious of your inner aspiration and see what the Guru has to offer. That is what counts in the end. One may live with a realised Guru and yet get very little if his aspiration is small. On the other hand even an ordinary human being can become an instrument of God to help a sincere seeker. These human mental considerations have their value but in the end what really counts is the sincerity of one’s aspiration and the answering Divine Grace.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
