AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Whenever I am doing any work or riding a bike or even in the busiest schedule, in some corner of my mind, I am remembering the Divine. Or I am getting thoughts of the Divine. But when I sit for Meditation that time I remember only useless things. And all the Thoughts jumble up in my mind. 🧘🏼‍♂️❤️‍🔥👷🏼‍♂️🌷✨[…]

And again, at the time of work, I remember what all I forgot to discuss with the Divine when I was sitting for Meditation. What should I do? Or is this a common phenomenon?

Yes, it is a common phenomenon in the beginning. It is easier to remember the Divine when the surface mind is engaged in some mechanical outer activity. But the moment one sits down to meditate, then this very surface mind as well as the subconscient become restless and seek to be engaged. They keep pulling and tugging at the inner being with all kinds of mechanical thoughts and sensations. One way is to refuse to listen to its pulls and keep on with the inner concentration, ignoring all else. With time and practice, it becomes possible. The other way is to use a mantra or japa or some music going on so that the mechanical mind gets engaged and quietened, leaving the inner consciousness free to shift inside.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Marraige is a different matter. It requires a deep commitment which can come only if there is some glimmer of true love or else strong earthly bonds of family, habits, customs, language etc. Besides, long distance relationship is very different from living together in close physical proximity.
