AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

While supporting a family through deep suffering, I find myself fluctuating between uplifting them and absorbing their heavy vibrations, leaving me emotionally drained. I aspire to remain an instrument of love and active help without losing the inner poise of the sakshi (detached witness) or getting entangled in vital emotions. 🤝🪷🙏🏻[…]

How does one truly integrate the perception of the Divine manifesting in all players—both the sufferer and the helper—to neutralize this pain? I would deeply appreciate your guidance on practical ways and inner attitudes, such as calling the Mother’s Force, to remain anchored in a higher consciousness and turn this challenge into an opportunity for yoga and courageous faith.

I understand your dilemma, which all those who carry within them the urge to help mankind in its suffering go through.

Witness, indifference and love don’t go together very well. What works best is to keep an unwavering sympathy and goodwill, but always on the basis of an inner peace and faith that all will be well by the Grace. For the rest, one should keep offering one’s will to help, as well as the difficulties that the person is going through. One can also put the person in contact with the Divine Mother through prayers, leaving a note near the Mother’s picture in the house. It also helps to write the problems in a diary and keep noting the progress as it comes, offering it to Her persistently until the decisive change takes place one way or the other.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Rituals and techniques are not purely …

In the Srimad Bhagavatam (10.88.8), Sri Krishna states that when He especially favors someone, He gradually takes away their material wealth and worldly support. Could you explain whether this intense purification applies to all devotees or only under specific conditions, and how one is expected to sustain sadhana amid such severe external hardship? 💰🪷🙏🏻 […]

In all mystic traditions, money has been generally regarded, not only as a bondage, but even as a curse. It ties the consciousness to very gross material pleasures. These weigh down the soul and makes the intelligence rather dull to subtler and spiritual things.
