There is indeed a prophesy like that which is more like caution that being on the sea level, if the waters rise high in the Thames, then London runs the risk of being badly flooded and affected. But the sinking may well be a symbol of the civilisation sinking under the weight of karma. If that be so then the process seems to have begun..
Sri Aurobindo however made another prophesy. It is about the destruction of Europe by a child which is clearly symbolic of Europe and is civilisational values being completely destroyed by the growing pressure of the New Creation. Here is the prophesy.
‘Europe prides herself on her practical and scientific organisation and efficiency. I am waiting till her organisation is perfect; then a child shall destroy her.’
