It is the soul as the developing psychic being that carries the karmic impressions from life to life. The developing psychic being puts forth a personality of its own, gathering experiences as it moves through life. There are completed experiences whose essence is already integrated with the psychic being. There are others that are yet not complete. They are like unfinished stories that are held in the stuff of the soul and carried along as psychic memories and Karmic impressions. In each life, the soul draws out a few from its stock to complete their lesson, work through those unfinished experiences and grow further. When its development is completed through this process of Karmic schooling, then it becomes a fully grown psychic being. After that, it is not under compulsion to take an earthly body unless it wants to be part of the Divine Work. The Karmic law is a law of evolution of the soul through earthly experiences and not a law of reward and punishment, as it is commonly thought to be.
2. What is the role of Karmic Gods?
The Karmic gods are the cosmic powers that pick up the threads of actions, thoughts, feelings, hopes, desires, wishes, frustrations and despairs. Then, from this material, they weave the situations and circumstances based on the need of the soul for its further future learning.Β
3. Our subconscious is personal or cosmic?
There is a personal subconscious in which we carry all the impressions, including the most trivial of all in a given life. The personal subconscious also draws from the collective and cosmic subconscious, forming in us certain traits and tendencies. At the time of departure, most of it is left behind, dropped off except for the few things the soul may carry as part of its evolutionary journey.Β
