AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

But my question here is that many gyani margi saints like Raman mahrisi, Nisargdatt and so on …. I never know whether their followers had spontaneous and sometimes uncontrolled kriyas happening with the many time for years. They say sometimes energies of kali sometimes lord Narsimha etc doing things with them. They say it’s release process going on , blockages etc. Is it possible for a very naive or not so developed spiritual aspirant to experience nondoership…๐Ÿฆ ๐ŸŒ‹ โšก ๐ŸŒŠ

As far as I know bhakti traditions saints give some Sadhana to do immersing the mind in the beloved. Is it so easy that you get initiation and practise yognidras and kriyas will act upon you to purify you. They say they have seen their past lives etc also. Seeing them I feel we devotees are foolย  ย

These radical awakenings are certainly suspect. Every path has a certain practice, especially the effort at self-purification. These sudden seemingly marvellous experiences are generally the play of the mind and the vital supported by dubious forces that wear divine masks. This is especially so where the person claims to enter the state of nondoership. Having an odd sudden experience is one thing but to have a radical change of consciousness is quite another and not possible without long effort and labour. All these uncontrolled kriyas and visions and rush of forces moving someone seem more like a play and display of the vital world that is not only misleading but dangerous since the sadhak may never realise that he is caught and trapped in a world of false glimmers.

Affectionately,

Alok Da
