AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Sir, in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, you practice Integral Yoga. What is Integral Yoga? Where to learn about it and how to practice as a complete beginner? In the Ashram, deities are not being worshipped like Bhagwan Shiv, Maa Durga and Rituals are not performed. So what are your opinions on Rituals and Festivals like Mahashivratri or Navratri? 🏡🪷🌳🙏🌸[…]

And the worship of the Das Mahavidyas? What are Mother Mirra’s Teachings on liberation and ending the Cycle of Birth and Death? And how to reach the Divine? Please guide me. I am new to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and don’t know about these.

The Integral Yoga is a way to complete God realisation, not in one or other but in all aspects. Its eventual goal is a complete transformation of nature.

There are some who practice the Integral Yoga in the Ashram and many more who practice it outside Pondicherry.

Its main processes are sincere aspiration for the Divine and the Divine Life, rejection of all that stands in the way of giving oneself to the Divine and His Service, surrender to the Divine Mother.

Liberation is not the goal of the yoga, but it does come in during the course of the yoga.

There are no rituals here. It is mainly an inner psychological process. No traditional fast etc., are prescribed. Karma and rebirth are a means for the inner evolution rather than reward and punishment.

Read the Mother’s writings and take Her Name inwardly. For more details, you can listen to my talks on auromaa.org (YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@AuroMaa)

Affectionately,

Alok Da

One can become aware of the organs and their function, can even see them. It is a kind of occult capacity, a faculty of inner vision through which one can see the organs. Vibration like pressure simply indicates that the ..

Respected Alok da, 1) I want to progress. With the work I am currently doing, I feel as though I am not learning anything new. Deep down, there is a longing for what the Mother has chosen for me to be revealed, and for my path of action to be connected with Sri Maa. (I know no work is small or bigger, just want to know this is for me.) 😊🙏🏻🌾

It is not easy. That is why at first one should practice the karmayoga, that means doing everything with a nishkama bhav, expecting nothing from anyone. Whatever be the work and to whomsoever it may be outwardly directed, inwardly you should consecrate it to the Mother and do it only for Her. As to outer situations and ..

I am reading Letters on Yoga for 2 hours at night; initially, I was able to build a certain amount of concentration…. But for the last two days, I can’t. Many thoughts come and distract, most of the time, X’s memories, our intimate moments and many other thoughts come and drive me away. 📖😣🦋🌻[…]

These are obviously attacks by forces that want to obstruct the gyana yagya that you have begun. Don’t pay much attention to these distractions and continue reading. Keep offering to the Mother and they will leave you.
