AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Here too my thoughts on Gyana, Vigyana, Even in Bhagvat Gita, it’s expressed like this in several places, but not all 3 together in one sloka. This is my understanding:…🛞📜🐎🪈

If  further aspiration is there, one shouldn’t stop with realising The Self, but go forward to understand the Science of  manifestations  of The Divine, and  by The Divine will,  and through his aspirations,  he can also  serve The Divine in its manifestation. I got  it. This was clear to me because I come from my Guru, who established ज्ञान विज्ञान मन्दिरं and initiated us into  The Science of Yoga, through His talks and diagrams. But when I read “Gnosis or Vigyaan ” chapter from SriAurovindo’s “Synthesis of yoga “, I couldn’t correlate anything easily or may be I didn’t understand at all. That’s why my question. our answer is clear, but  Sri Aurobindo’s explanation, I didn’t get.

Yes because what is generally understood (and rightly so) by Vigyana is the Divine Manifestation in the cosmos as it functions too. The Unmanifest that holds the seeds of the future remained unexplored or rather as a royal gate of departure. Hence there is no account of the Supramental realm or the possibility of the Gnostic being or in fact anything beyond the present humanity. What Sri Aurobindo brings is this transcendental truth of the Vigyanamaya Purusha held back from man. That is why Sri Aurobindo and the Mother said that what was understood as the Vigyanamaya was the manifestation of the One in multiplicity as revealed through the brilliant lid of the Overmind. What was not seen and remained hidden was the plenary Supermind where all that is yet to manifest is held back. The Gnostic being is the yet to fully manifest future. It has now come into the realm of world possibilities and is pressing upon earth for its realisation. Perhaps the yogis who will come hereafter will be able to perceive this new being as part of the manifestation of the Vigyanamaya. But for now it is not described anywhere. What is described is the eternal perfection of the Lord in His own realm but that is different from realising the same eternal Perfection here, upon earth and, in the play of Time.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, one increasingly concerning trend that one’s observing in indian society right now is there’s a feverish tendency to inquire about one’s range of earnings. The moment the so-called elders meet a young man who’s just into two to three years of graduation, the very first question they ask is “What’s your Package?”. 👴🏼👨🏼‍💼💼🏢🥀[…]

It is not Darwinism but copy-catism if one wants to coin a word. The reason however is twofold. Partly it is due to the strong awakening of Rajas in a society that was, for a rather long time oppressed, supressed and made to feel low, in one word tamas. This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
