AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am in corporate where I was working on X topic before. I have been re-assigned to a team to work on a particular topic which I find uninteresting or probably consider so. I still have a desire/ passion to work on X and hence searching for opportunities to change to work on that. But, Mother has said that we should not have preferences/ attachments and it is always better to do what is assigned as an offering to increase plasticity. If I move to some other team to work on something I consider interesting – will it be satisfying my desire discarding an opportunity of spiritual progress to overcome an attachment? How should I approach this situation and make the decision?πŸ’πŸ’»πŸ‘”πŸ“…

There is nothing wrong in seeking a work that is more aligned to your inner temperament and which engages you deeply. What the Mother is advising against is change out of restlessness or finding the present job challenging and difficult, or simply out of boredom and fancy, or because one is unhappy with the job, change for the sake of change so to say. These are negative reasons for seeking change. But to shift from one work to another because it is a better utilisation of your capacities, closer to your Swadharma is perfectly fine from the spiritual point of view.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

While stopping of thoughts completely is not an easy thing, it is very much possible to direct the flow consciously towards an object. Thus, you can consciously let your thoughts run around the idea of God, or of a Divine…

Kindly let me know if the understanding below is incorrect: As SAT, CHIT, and ANANDA are the 3 aspects of PARABRAHMAN, meant for the manifestation in our universe, so are the infinite other aspects of PARABRAHMAN meant for the manifestation in many other universes. And that is how millions of universes, of different kinds, have been created by the Divine.πŸ•‰οΈπŸŒŒβœ¨πŸ‘οΈ

Sat, Chit-tapas, Ananda are the three principle aspects. All other aspects such as Peace, Wisdom, Knowledge, Compassion, Strength, Beauty, Harmony, Love are derived from these four fundamental aspects of the One Infinite. Each…
