AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Dada, please say what is my aim🤔?

Each one has to find their own aim. The smaller the aim, the lesser the effort needed but also lesser the joy of life. Those who live for small and selfish aims cut themselves off from the universal currents of delight.  Then to recompense they end up trying to find the joy through little pleasures such as food, sex, alcohol, etc. On the other hand greater the aim, greater the challenges and the needed effort but also greater the delight and fullness and the satisfaction. Small aims are aims centered around the little ego-self, around our petty desires and selfish ambitions. Its highest is generally living for oneself, one’s worldly ambitions and amassing wealth and comfort for the family. Great aims means living for an Ideal, for the Country, for the human race,  for making this world a better place by extending one’s heart beyond the family needs, and ultimately living for the Highest,  the Divine.

Affectionately
