Why are people so much bothered about others?

Asked by 18 year old Girl

It is best not to bother about people. They do things for a number of reasons. Indulging in gossip about others is a favourite pastime of human beings especially when they have nothing much to do. We should not bother about these human opinions and instead stay focused upon our goals and do what we truly know and feel in our depths as the right thing to do.

Affectionately,

In Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy, the Divine consciousness manifests into the world through Involution, and human suffering is often described as a side effect of this evolutionary process. πŸ€”πŸ˜£πŸ₯€πŸŒ„[…]

The first thing to understand is that the Divine who chose to plunge into the ignorance with the full knowledge of the aftermath of suffering and the eventual multiplication of delight, the manifold delight of multiplicity, did it with the full consent of our central being, that aspect of the soul that remains unfallen and hence always in the bliss of the eternal company of the Divine. The soul in us took it as a great adventure in which it plunged along …
